The fraction of galaxies in the DR1 sample with respect to the expected final CALIFA sample distribution, as a function of axis ratio (b/a). Galaxies were separated into early-type galaxies (E+S0) and late-type galaxies (Sa and later). The CALIFA mother sample does not include any elliptical galaxies with b/a < 0.3 or any spiral galaxies with b/a > 0.9. Error bars are computed from the Poisson errors of the associated DR1 number counts.
