Coverage of the photometric and spectroscopic observations across the Fornax dwarf spheroidal galaxy. The big squares denote the coverage of the CTIO 4 m/MOSAIC fields, while the smaller squares show the CTIO 0.9 m fields. The open (blue) circles show the stars observed in the VLT/FLAMES Ca ii triplet survey (Battaglia et al. 2008; Starkenburg et al. 2010), for which only [Fe/H] is determined. The solid (red) dots mark the stars observed using medium (Kirby et al. 2010) and high resolution spectroscopy (Letarte et al. 2010), for which both [Fe/H] as well as α-element abundances are determined. The dashed (green) ellipse is the tidal radius of Fornax, as given by Battaglia et al. (2006).

Current usage metrics show cumulative count of Article Views (full-text article views including HTML views, PDF and ePub downloads, according to the available data) and Abstracts Views on Vision4Press platform.

Data correspond to usage on the plateform after 2015. The current usage metrics is available 48-96 hours after online publication and is updated daily on week days.
