Middle: difference of the t₀ + 6 min image to the reference t₀ (right minus left image of Fig. 1). Right: difference of the t₀ + 165 min image to the reference t₀. The arbitrary color scale and dynamic range were chosen to enhance the contrast for the sake of clarity. The increase in the strength of residuals can be qualitatively observed here, and quantitatively assessed in Fig. 4 as well as the scaling to the coronagraphic images.
