Typical spectra (grey thick lines) from our VIMOS observations covering the range of spectral types from K3 to M3. Spectral templates (thin lines) with the same spectral types and spectral resolution are also shown. The templates have been reddened to fit our VIMOS spectra. The prominent Hα emission line and TiO absorption features are indicated. The wiggles on the spectra beyond 7600 Å are instrumental artifacts due to the fringing.
