Regions observed by the three spectrometers, SUMER, CDS and EIS, on 17 April 2009. The full disk image shows the Sun as observed in the He ii 304 Å  band. It was obtained by the EUV Imaging Telescope (EIT) onboard SoHO on the same date at 08:19:17 UT. The field of view and the pointing of the SUMER, CDS and EIS slits are marked with different line styles, respectively dotted, dashed and dot-dashed lines. The continuous contour indicates the feature which is used for co-alignment in Fig. 3.
