Depiction of the spinning dust emission at 30 GHz in the Galactic plane in MJy sr-1 (top) and as a fraction of the total 30 GHz signal (bottom). In making this image, it is assumed that the 30 GHz emission associated with the atomic, molecular and dark gas phases are solely due to spinning dust. Some features may be simply due to residuals in our inversion; however, this illustrative view highlights regions where spinning dust may be particularly strong compared to other emission mechanisms.
