a) Angular distribution function of accelerated downstream electrons for a perpendicular wavy shock in an arbitrarily chosen downstream point (thin solid line). The direction of the magnetic field B2 is shown. The shock is located opposite to this direction. The distribution function is rotationally symmetric around B2. It is a polar graph, where the polar angle corresponds to the pitch angle α and the radial distance (in a logarithmic scale) to a value of the distribution function f(v,α) of accelerated downstream electrons. The velocity v is constant here and its value corresponds to the energy of 3 keV. The dashed circle labelled 1 ×  represents the value of the initial distribution function fi(v) from (19). For comparison, the thick solid line shows the angular distribution function of transmitted electrons through a perpendicular plane shock wave. b) The same as in a), but the thin solid line shows the angular distribution averaged along the shock front.
