Heliocentric velocities versus the cosine of the angle between a galaxy and the apex of the Sun motion with respect to the center-of-mass of the LG (see Mateo 1998, and references therein), for galaxies within 2 Mpc from the barycenter of the LG (DGL < 2 Mpc) in the catalogue of Tully et al. (2008), plus VV124 (data from the present paper). The parameters of the solar motion are also taken from Tully et al., while the position of the barycenter is from van den Bergh (2000). Filled squares are galaxies with DGL ≤ 1.0 Mpc, open squares have 1.0 Mpc  < DGL ≤ 1.5 Mpc,  ×  symbols have DGL > 1.5 Mpc. VV124 has DGL ≃ 1.3 Mpc. The continuous line is the locus of rest with respect to the center-of-mass of the LG, the dotted lines are at  ± 1σ and  ± 2σ from that locus (σ = 60 km s-1, from Mateo 1998, and in good agreement with what found here from galaxies having DGL ≤ 1.3 Mpc).
