Because the S/N is quite poor in that region the photon noise in this part of the spectrum is more than 10 times higher than in the other spectral regions. Large signatures similar to the NaI ones should be visible however, but according to the low CaII content of the Earth atmosphere, they are simply not observable, as it is the case here.
