Comparison of distances to Hipparcos stars. The trigonometric parallax distances dϖ are compared to spectroscopic distances d from B10 a), and to values derived here using the YY b), Dartmouth c), and Padova d) isochrones. We are using the same selection criteria and color scheme as in Fig. 2. The errorbars show average formal errors for stars in four distance bins. The diagonal line is a 1:1 relation.
