Archive images obtained with SOFI at the NTT at different epochs of the field around GY 11, which is located at the center of the images in the upper panels and the lower-left panel. The images, taken through a narrow-band filter centered at the 2.12 μm wavelength of H2, show some other low-mass members of the ρ Ophiuchi cluster in the same area as well as the system of Herbig-Haro (HH) objects having their origin in the VLA1623 source, outside the field to the lower right. The fields of the first three panels are 115′′ across. The field of the difference image at the bottom right is 58′′ across. North is to the top and east to the left.
