Properties of the sample stars. Rotation period and results from Stokes V measurements are from Donati et al. (2008) and Morin et al. (2008). Rossby numbers are from Kiraga & Stepien (2007). Sources of Stokes I measurements are given in the table. The total magnetic energy is estimated from total magnetic flux using a scaling that involves a factor f. We use f = 1.25 (see text).
