Abstract
Recent works, both theoretical and observational, have suggested that turbulence could play a non-negligible role in the broadening of emission lines in active galactic nuclei. The purpose of this note is to show how shock wave-turbulence interaction, under unsteady regimes, can affect the broadening of emission lines.

Key words: galaxies: active -- shock waves -- turbulence -- line: formation -- line: profiles
