The recent result $\langle E(B-V) \rangle / \langle N_{\rm Zn} \rangle \simeq 4.1$ $\times$ 10-15 mag cm2, found by Menard et al. (2007) in Mg II systems, yields the same value of $\langle s_{\rm V}^{\rm Fe}\rangle$, assuming that the Zn/Fe ratio is solar and $f_{\rm Fe} \simeq 0.65$.
