In other papers (López-Corredoira et al. 2000, 2005) we have presented evidence that the Galactic bulge has a boxy morphology. The (l,b) range examined in the present paper, however, is too restricted to make a proper contribution to that debate; hence, for simplicity we refer here to a triaxial geometry.
