The flux of Draconid meteors in intervals of
,
equivalent to 15 min bins ( top) to a limiting mass of 10-6 kg. The solid circles with error bars are 2005 data while the open squares represent the flux from the shower in 2003 in the same solar longitude interval. The low activity in 2003 effectively delineates the magnitude of the sporadic background contamination. The collecting area for the Draconid radiant in 2005 (thick solid line) and 2003 (thin solid line) during the same interval is also shown ( bottom). Only those hourly intervals having a mean Draconid collecting area greater than 130 km2 are shown. The interval shown corresponds to 13.4-18.9 UT on October 8, 2005. |
