We are grateful to an anonymous Referee for pointing out that, although plausible, thermo-dynamical equilibrium is not necessarily implied by the data. In fact, the good fit shown in Fig. 6 and Table 5 is a necessary condition for energy equipartition, but it is not a sufficient one. In principle, there could be models that fit the data equally well but in which the equipartition of energy is not complete. Unfortunately, the method that we followed (Meylan 1987, 1988) does not allow us to investigate this hypothesis.
