CO J = 3-2 mapping of the molecular circumnuclear disk in Centaurus A
National Radio Astronomy Observatory, 520 Edgemont Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903-2475, USA
Accepted: 21 March 2001
We have mapped the molecular circumnuclear disk in Centaurus A in the -2 line of 12CO using the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope at 14´´ (235 pc) resolution. The disk remains at best only very barely resolved and even the most basic conclusions regarding its structure are highly model-dependent.
Key words: elliptical galaxies / molecular gas
