Lateral asymmetry (top) and flux ratios (bottom) for warped disk models of different warp tilts imax (at λ = 0.8 μm). The outer disk is viewed perfectly edge-on (meaning an inclination of 90°). For symmetry reasons, we only need to model a quarter of the azimuthal regime in this configuration. The curves can be extended to the remaining regime by flipping the curves appropriately. The pink shaded region in the top panel corresponds to a lateral asymmetry of <10%, which is what we assume not to be visible by eye.
