Simulated planetary systems around the 0.70 and 1.00 M⊙ stars for the four PA models including gas accretion. The mass threshold for particles to become self-gravitating was increased compared to the simulations without gas accretion to conserve computing resources, meaning that these simulations are less accurate than the others. The purpose of this figure is therefore only to indicate whether gas accretion could significantly influence the results from the normal simulations. For the OL18 simulations, gas accretion does not play a significant part. In the IGM16 simulations, on the other hand, multiple gas giants form. The layout of the figure is explained in the caption of Fig. 6.
