Galaxy cluster matter profiles - I. Self-similarity, mass calibration, and observable-mass relation validation employing cluster mass posteriors

Average rescaled SPT cluster matter profiles $\tilde{Δ Σ} (R / R_{200 c})$ $\widetilde{\Delta\Sigma}\left(R/R_{\mathrm{200c}}\right)$ constructed using the mass calibration posteriors from Bocquet et al. (2024a). In the left panel, we show $\tilde{Δ Σ} (R / R_{200 c})$ $\widetilde{\Delta\Sigma}\left(R/R_{\mathrm{200c}}\right)$ profiles for three redshift bins, and in the right panel we show $\tilde{Δ Σ} (R / R_{200 c})$ $\widetilde{\Delta\Sigma}\left(R/R_{\mathrm{200c}}\right)$ profiles for different richness bins. The average rescaled matter profiles show regularity similar to that seen in Fig. 4 for the cluster simulations.
