Critical angle for polar alignment as a function of the disc longitude of the ascending node for a fixed binary eccentricity (e = 0.2, 0.5, 0.8). Given a mutual inclination (e.g. 50°) and an eccentricity (e.g. e = 0.5), the dashed (dotted) line is the Ω interval in which the disc will go perpendicular (coplanar) to the orbital plane.
