Mean total radiative emission (electronic deexcitation) for C₆₀ (a), C₄₂ (b), and C₂₄ (c) carbon clusters according to structural families (branched, pretzels, flakes, cages). C₂ dissociation rates for C₆₀ and C₄₂ cage families are also reported, as well as the thermoionization rate for C₆₀ cage family (panel a). Every sample contains about 1000 isomers. C₂₄ cage carbon clusters are not considered in the present work because the associated family contains only 11 isomers.
