Notes. Number of true z > 6 galaxies and z > 6 contaminants, using the COSMOS2020 Classic catalogue from Weaver et al. (2022). The fiducial photometric redshifts and Euclid (+ancillary) photometry were derived using the same method adopted for the UltraVISTA/SMUVS photometry, described in Sect. 2.2. Only sources with a 3σ detection in both the JE and HE bands are considered here.
