Top left panel: number of pixels of the blue-shifted region as the active region crossed the disc from 1 to 6 April. The area of the blue-shifted region increases as the AR evolves. Top right panel: FIP bias measurements in the outflow area (white boxes in Fig. 6). The FIP bias appears to increase on 4 April when the blue-shifted area also reaches a maximum. Bottom left panel: variation of the mean of Doppler velocity in the same region. Bottom right panel: variation of mean of non-thermal velocity in the same region. Both the Doppler velocity and non-thermal velocity show a significant increase in magnitude in the first few days of the active region’s formation.
