Circular velocity in the plane of the disc of our Milky Way model. The Stäckel potential comprises a disc and a halo component and realistically describes the circular velocity of the Milky Way in the inner ∼20 kpc, as can be seen by comparing to the determinations by Eilers et al. (2019).
