The magenta, dashed profile shows the line profile without electron scattering or continuum thermalization. We note that the residual close to the line center is now much lower at both epochs. The steep profile on the red side is a result of the comparatively narrow electron scattering profile from the CSM and the damping of the red wing from the scattering from the CDS and the ejecta.
