Panel a: comparison of the success of the predictions of the GC velocity dispersion profiles by MOND and ΛCDM. These predictions are based on independent estimates of the free parameters. The prediction assuming isotropy for both MOND and ΛCDM models are shown in black. The gray open stars represent the artificial galaxies R17x,y,z. It can be seen that MOND has a greater predictive ability. The same is true if the anisotropy model for the ΛCDM models is chosen out of the profiles βiso, βneg, and βlit so that it gives the lowest RMS, which is shown by the red points. Panel b: same but for the MOND prediction, the real galaxy density profiles were substituted by point masses. Despite this disadvantage, the MOND predictions still perform better, even if we again chose the anisotropy profile giving the best RMS for the ΛCDM.
