Intervening Fe iλ2719 absorption at z_abs = 0.45206 (as marked) towards the quasar HE 0001−2340. This line falls on the blue wing of the quasar Lyα emission line. The spectrum (black curve) is shown together with a fit (see Sect. 3.2.3) of three blended Lyα absorptions, and bluewards, one Si ii absorption at z_abs = 1.58643 (red curve). The Fe iλ2719 absorption is unexpectedly very weak (see Fig. 4).
