For the noise-free case (upper left panel) in 64 172 stars (at least) two periods are detected. The distribution is centered at ⟨αout − αin⟩ = 0.032 with a width of σ(αout − αin) = 0.058. With higher noise levels the total number of findings decreases and the error increases (Table 5).
