Re-naming the quadrants would have caused confusion in the design documentation; re-ordering the quadrants in the detector electronics would generated read-out overhead; and last but not least, the FITS convention forbids to identify extensions by their location in the file. For unambiguous identification, the FITS keyword EXTNAME in each extension should be used (e.g. EXTNAME = CHIP1.INT1, referring to Q1 or chip#66).

Note that the artifacts in the centre of the near-infrared image result from the dithering/observing strategy that was not optimally chosen at the time of the observations to produce a gap-less image.
