Microstepping is used to attempt to recover some of the lost resolution due to under sampling good seeing conditions with the $0.4^{\prime\prime}$ pixels. The microstepped frames are interwoven at the pixel level to give, in this case, an effective sampling of $0.133^{\prime\prime}$ per interleaved pixel.
