MC3D (Monte Carlo 3D) has been tested
extensively against other radiative transfer codes for 2D structures (Pascucci et al. 2004) and we also
performed a direct comparison for the special case of AGN dust tori with the
simulations of Granato & Danese (1994), one of the standard torus models for comparison,
calculated with his grid based code (see Fig. 4, in
Schartmann et al. 2005).
