... data[*]
We confirmed these estimates using Monte Carlo simulations based on the observed source spectrum, the observed background spectrum, the same response matrix and exposure time, and the thermal structure and abundances as found in our best fit to the entrire spectrum; we obtained an 68% limit at 2 $\times$ 1010 cm-3 and a 90% limit around $\approx$$\times$ 1010 cm-3. Conversely, if the true density were 1011 cm-3, we found that only one out of ten statistical realizations converges to an inferred density below $\approx$$\times$ 1010 cm-3.
