The FRED flares have been modelled as $x^r\times\exp{-(t-t_0)/t_{\rm c}}$, where t is the time, t0 is the start time, $t_{\rm c}$ is decay time and $x=2.71~(t-t_0)/(r~t_{\rm c})$, accounts for the rise. The peak in this parametrization is at $r~t_{\rm c}-t_0$.
