Table 1: Main properties of the obtained VL samples: $r_{{\rm min}}$ , $r_{{\rm max}}$ are the chosen limits for the metric distance; ${M_{{\rm min}}, M_{{\rm max}}}$ are the interval for the absolute magnitude and $N_{\rm g}$ is the resulting number of galaxies in each sample.
Table 2: Characteristic scales of the VL samples: $r_{{\rm sep}}$ is the average separation distance between nearest neighbor galaxies (in 2dFGRS and Poisson distribution within the same volume and for the same number of galaxies), $r_{\rm s}^{\rm m}$ is the maximum sphere completely contained in the sample. All distances are in Mpc (H₀=100 km s^-1 Mpc^-1).
