Also, we infer P3 from their values of P2 and using the relation for the drift rate $D (^\circ /P_1) = P_2(^\circ )/P_3(P_1)$, which is a good approximation for this system, as it is nearly aligned. Positive and negative values are obtained due to the definition of drift rate.
