At Z = 0.004, the value for the minimum initial mass of O-type stars is taken from the rotating models of Maeder & Meynet (2001). At Z = 0.008 we use the value obtained from the "enhanced'' mass loss rate models of Meynet et al. (1994; see Table 2 in Maeder & Meynet 1994).
