Table 1: Properties of the X-ray sources in the Serpens cloud. The source names in the first column consist of the J2000 coordinates. The EPIC-PN countrates are listed in the second column, followed by information about optical and near-infrared counterparts and known membership to the Serpens cloud. The extinction and bolometric luminosity estimates in the next two columns were generally taken from Eiroa & Casali (1992), for 182957.9+011246 (=EC 95) they are based on the study by Preibisch (1999) and for 182957.7+011052 (=HD 170545) they were derived as described in the text. We then list the extinction-corrected X-ray luminosities in the [0.2-10] keV energy band and the fractional X-ray luminosities. The countrates for the two objects marked with asterisks have been derived from the MOS data and multiplied by the typical PN/MOS countrate ratio, because these sources are locate outdied the field-of-view of the PN image or in gaps between the individual chips.
