Table 3: Characteristics of our $\alpha $ CMa A models remaining within the uncertainty box of the observed properties of this star. The subscripts i and s refer respectively to the initial content at zero age and the surface content at the end of the computed evolution. The adopted luminosity is $\log(L/L_{\odot})=1.405\pm 0.022$ with $T_{\rm eff}=9900\pm 200$ K. The observed abundance of oxygen is  $-0.32\pm 0.20$ dex (see text). The precision of the age is $\pm $12 Myr corresponding to the crossing time of the shaded parallelogram.
