The complex formation mechanism of the He ${\rm I}$584 Å line and the fact that it reacts to the presence of coronal holes should not significantly degrade the results, compared to other purely chromospheric or transition region lines. The main property of importance for the current paper is that He ${\rm I}$584 Å clearly displays the network structure.
