Astronomy and Astrophysics

Vol. 381, No. 1 (January I 2002)

With its 90 cm primary mirror, the French-Italian THEMIS solar telescope located at Teide Observatory (Tenerife) is among the largest such facilities in the world.
THEMIS offers a polarisation-free optical design for multi-line spectropolarimetry, imagery and spectro-imagery.
In 2001, 218 days of observation were allocated to the international solar community.
Several results obtained with THEMIS are published from page 227 to 299 of this issue. (Bommier, V., & Rayrole, J., p. 227)
