Abstract
Continuing our studies on stellar atmospheres (Claret 2000, 2003),
we present in this paper the limb-darkening coefficients for the Sloan photometric
system. The calculations cover a wide range of values of log
g,
,
metallicities
and microturbulent velocities. The atmosphere models used are ATLAS and PHOENIX.
In addition to the traditional applications of the limb-darkening coefficients,
the present ones will be useful since the Sloan filters are
now being used in the interpretation of light curves of extrasolar transiting planets,
for example. The present calculations may also be useful, as a complement, for the Kepler mission,
dedicated to the search for terrestrial planets.
Key words: stars: atmospheres -- stars: binaries: eclipsing -- stars: low mass, brown-dwarfs -- stars: planetary systems

- If your librarian has set up your subscription with an OpenURL resolver, OpenURL links appear automatically on the abstract pages.
- You can define your own OpenURL resolver with your EDPS Account. In this case your choice will be given priority over that of your library.
- You can use an add-on for your browser (Firefox or I.E.) to display OpenURL links on a page (see http://www.openly.com/openurlref/). You should disable this module if you wish to use the OpenURL server that you or your library have defined.
