Cover illustration: With its 90 cm primary mirror, the French-Italian THEMIS solar telescope located at Teide Observatory (Tenerife) is among the largest such facilities in the world. THEMIS offers a polarisation-free optical design for multi-line spectropolarimetry, imagery and spectro-imagery. In 2001, 218 days of observation were allocated to the international solar community. Several results obtained with THEMIS are published from page 227 to 299 of this issue. p. 227
